Tristan Echevarria LAC, NCC
In-person therapy in Gilbert, Arizona; virtual therapy anywhere in Arizona.
A lot of the men I work with are high achievers who are used to being the dependable one. They’ve built successful careers, people rely on them, and from the outside things seem put together. But underneath that, many feel disconnected, emotionally exhausted, stuck in the same relationship patterns, or unsure why life doesn’t feel as fulfilling as they thought it would.
I enjoy working with men who want more out of life than just getting through the day on autopilot. Men who are tired of constantly carrying stress alone, shutting down emotionally, or feeling distant from the people they care about most.
Whether it’s struggles in a marriage or relationship, difficulty opening up, burnout, loneliness, anger, or feeling like you’ve lost touch with yourself somewhere along the way, therapy can be a space to slow down and actually figure out what’s underneath it all.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy sports (especially Formula 1 Racing, football and baseball), gaming, music, pop culture, collecting Funko Pops, and trying new food spots even though I’m admittedly a picky eater.
My style as a therapist is genuine, relaxed, and conversational. I’m naturally curious and tend to “peel back the layers” to understand the deeper why behind things rather than just focusing on surface-level symptoms. I also believe therapy doesn’t always have to feel overly clinical or rigid.
I chose this path after seeing firsthand how transformative therapy can be when people finally feel understood and begin making real changes in their lives. That experience continues to shape how I show up for clients today.
My approach is heavily rooted in connection, self-awareness, and practical growth. I use approaches like EMDR, DBT, and IFS-informed work to help clients better understand themselves, manage emotions more effectively, improve communication and relationships, and build a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with who they actually are.
I’ve been told I can be a little nerdy and goofy at times, and I think humor and authenticity can be just as important in the therapy room as the deeper conversations.
